PRIVACY · 20 SEPTEMBER 2026
Plain-language privacy.
research.cheap collects only what is needed to operate accounts, learn which tools researchers need, and run the screening workflows you choose.
Waitlist and product research
When you request access, your email address, volunteered questionnaire answers, consent choices, and basic campaign attribution are stored in Supabase. Your email may also be synced to Brevo for access-related messages and, when you choose it, occasional product updates.
Advertising and measurement
Meta Pixel and server-side Conversions API events run only after you allow measurement. Lead and completed-registration events share an event ID so browser and server copies can be deduplicated. UTM values, referrer, landing path, fbclid, fbp, and fbc may be stored when available. You can choose “Essential only” in the consent notice.
Accounts, Screen, and Exclusion Audit
Supabase stores your account and your project documents, including imported citation data, criteria, screening state, and returned results. Row Level Security restricts project rows to their owner. While screening, small batches of title, abstract, publication type, year, keywords, and your eligibility criteria pass through the research.cheap server to TypeSafe Jev for evaluation. Secret API keys remain server-side.
What we do not claim
research.cheap does not currently claim HIPAA, SOC 2, or regulatory certification. The screening tools are research aids, not autonomous eligibility systems or medical devices.
